Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership Announces Summer 2011 Applications for Public Service Internships and Scholarships

The Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL) will help place students in paid internships within federal government agencies in DC, California, Oregon, Washington, as well as other locations nationwide.  Last year, 11 interns were placed.  CAPAL will also be offering two $2,000 scholarships for individuals working in unpaid public service internships (nonprofit/government) this summer in the Washington, DC metropolitan region.  Please go to capal.org for more information and to apply, and access the applications via these links:  internships applicationscholarships application.  More information after the jump.
Requirements: Demonstrated commitment to public service, including service to the Asian Pacific American community; GPA of 3.0 or higher

 

Location: Washington, DC, California, Oregon, Washington, and additional locations nationwide.

Compensation: $2,000 stipend

Application Instructions: You will find information on our website at capal.org (under Programs), and can access the applications via these links:  internships applicationscholarships application.  Please be sure to submit all required documents, including your resume, unofficial transcript(s) and letter(s) of recommendation.

Application Deadline: The early deadline for applications is February 1, 2011.  Additional applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.  Only top candidates will be contacted for phone interviews.
